We utilize a geotechnical investigation barge named “AKAM-2” in this type of operation. A DGPS and a marine gyro compass are used for positioning of the barge at drilling location. After finishing the mobilization of personnel and equipment on “AKAM-2”, the barge departs to the borehole location using a supply tug for commencement of geotechnical investigation. The mooring operation will be performed according to anchor pattern to precisely locate the barge at the drilling location.
